Domestic Tractor Sales Report April 2024: Sales Drop By 2.71%, 76945 Units Sold

In April 2024, domestic tractor sales in India saw a decline, with a 2.71%. The brands sold 76945 tractors in April 2024, in comparison to the 79090 tractors sold during April 2023. Check out the complete brand wise tractor sales report of April 2024. 

Domestic Tractor Sales Report April 2024 - Brand Wise

India's top tractor manufacturer, Mahindra Tractor, achieved a sales figure in April 2024 by selling 35805 tractors. This reflected a hike of 1.15% when compared to April 2023, sold 35398 tractors. Additionally, Mahindra experienced a 1.78% gain in its market share during this period.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 35805 tractors in the domestic market during April 2024, a growth of 1% over last year. Government's Wheat procurement operations are going on in full swing with good mandi arrivals, keeping the rural cash flows healthy. IMD's forecast of above normal monsoon rains and festivals in the month of April have helped bring positivity in the rural sentiments. Terms of trade continue to stay positive and good cash flows from Rabi harvest are likely to boost tractor demand in the coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 1234 tractors, a growth of 23% over last year.”

TAFE domestic tractor sales in April 2024 reached 13004 units, reflecting a 10.32% decrease from the previous year when they sold 14500 tractors in April 2023. Additionally, TAFE's market share saw a drop of 1.43%.

Sonalika International sold 9649 tractors in April 2024, a slight drop from the 9814 tractors sold in April 2023, showcasing a 1.68% decrease in sales. Besides this, the data highlights a 0.13% increase in the brand's market share.

In April 2024, Escorts sold 7168 tractors in April 2024, a 1.16% decrease compared to the tractor sales in April 2023, which was 7252 tractors. On the other hand, the company maintained its market share by 0.15%.

In April 2024, John Deere sold 5779 tractors in April 2024, marking a 5.23% rise compared to the previous year, which is 5492 units of tractors. Furthermore, the brand's market share saw an upward trend by 0.57%.

In April 2024, New Holland sold 2867 tractors, a 1.56% raise compared to the previous year, which was 2823 units of tractors. On the other hand, the brand's market share saw a positive growth of 0.16%. 

April 2024 saw Kubota tractor sales at 1324 units, showing a substantial decline of 34.26% compared to April 2023 which was 2014 units of tractors. Concurrently, the company's market share also declined by 0.83%.

Preet domestic tractor sales saw a significant decrease of 13.28%, with 405 tractors sold in April 2024. The Preet domestic tractor sales were 467 units in April 2023. The report also highlights a minor downward trend by 0.06% in market share.

In April 2024, Indo Farm tractors experienced a 26.67% decrease in domestic tractor sales, with 352 tractors sold as against 480 units of tractors sold in April 2023. The company lost its market share by 0.15% in this month. 

VST domestic sales report for April 2024 presents 208 tractors sold, resulting in a 30.67% decrease in sales as against 300 tractors sold in April 2023. The brand’s market share also fell by 0.11%. 

Captain Tractor sold 200 tractors in April 2024, marking a significant 38.84% increase in sales compared to April 2023 which was 327 tractors. Additionally, the brand experienced a modest 0.15% drop in market share.

ACE tractor domestic sales reported a 5.67% decline as this brand sold only 133 tractors in April 2024 compared to April 2023 which was 141 tractors. Moreover, the market share of ACE tractors was lost by 0.01%. 

SDF tractor domestic sales in April 2024 observed a 37.80% decline as it sold 51 units in April 2024 against April 2023 which was 82 tractors. As a result, the market share increased by 0.04%.
