Montra Electric Deploys Seven E-Tractors in Visakhapatnam to Boost Green Logistics

The E-45 tractors will replace diesel vehicles at Action TESA’s MDF plant and save ₹40 lakh a year

Visakhapatnam: Montra Electric, an electric commercial vehicle brand and electric tractor maker from the Murugappa Group, has deployed seven E-45 electric tractors at Action TESA’s manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam. The tractors will move materials inside the plant and support cleaner industrial logistics.

According to company estimates, the switch will save about 50,000 litres of diesel every year. In addition, it will avoid 131 tonnes of tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions. The plant will also save ₹40 lakh a year in operating costs. As a result, the move helps both the environment and the company’s budget.

Clean mobility enters the MDF sector

The tractors replace diesel vehicles that the plant used earlier to carry materials from one place to another. With this deployment, clean mobility now enters the Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) manufacturing sector. Perhaps more importantly, it shows that factories can use electric vehicles for daily work without losing performance.

Montra Electric Managing Director Jalaj Gupta noted that the MDF and plywood industry holds substantial potential for clean energy integration in material handling.

Action TESA Managing Director Vivek Jain stated that the initiative aligns with the firm’s commitment to evaluating sustainable alternatives that curtail diesel dependency without compromising operational performance.
