Retail Tractors Recorded Highest-Ever Sales of 8.27 Lakh: 7.94% YoY Growth

FADA released retail tractor sales in India, recorded a historic peak in FY '23 by 827403 units. The sales grew by 7.94% compared to the previous year where sales were 766545 units.

Retail Tractor Industry Statistics FY’23 - Brandwise 

Mahindra Tractor sold 176736 units during FY '23, the sales were 145916 units in FY’22, which shows a clear hike of 21.12% in its retail tractor sales. Nevertheless, the company maintained its market share by 2.23% this year.

Swaraj Tractor sales for FY '23 were recorded at 128698 units, compared to 104674 units in FY’22. Swaraj Tractor retail sales data for FY’23 shows a steep rise of 0.23%.

Sonalika Tractors registered a 8.64% growth in retail tractor sales. However, Sonalika FY '23 tractor sales were 97743 units, and in FY’22, tractor sales were 89962 units. And Sonalika Tractors registered a 0.07% growth in market share. 

TAFE Limited sold 92546 tractors in FY’23. TAFE maintained 0.59% market share. The company registered 13.94% growth YoY.

Escorts Limited sales surged by 19.51% to 79531 units in FY '23 against 66543 units in FY’22.

John Deere Tractors sales surged to 60450 units, up 15.16% as compared to 52489 units sold in FY '22. 

Eicher Tractors company sold 52870 tractors in FY '23. Eicher gained 3.53% retail tractor sales during FY '23. Eicher tractor market share in FY’23 dipped by 0.27%.

New Holland Tractor recorded retail tractor sales of 30047 units in FY’23, against 25520 units sold during FY’22, registering a growth of 17.73%. New Holland Tractor also gained market share by 0.30% in FY’23.

Kubota Tractor also registered a 26.35% growth in retail tractor sales, from 20753 units in FY '23 to 16424 units in FY’22. However, its market share marginally increased 0.37%.

VST Tractor retail sales in FY’23 were at 5290 units, as against 5993 units during FY’22. The data shows a decline in retail tractor sales by 11.73%. 

Force Tractors sales surged to 4312 units, up 4% as compared to 4146 units sold in FY’22. 

Preet Tractor also recorded a 24.2% decline in retail tractor sales, from 3605 units in FY’23 to 4756 units in FY’22. Its market share declined by 0.18%.

Indo Farm Tractor market share decreased by 0.05% in FY’23. The company sold 3456 units in FY’23, which is 3601 units in the previous year.

Captain Tractor reported a 11.55% decline in Tractor sales for FY '23 as compared to the same period last year, from 3451 units to 3902 units.

Other manufacturers registered 67915 units of retail tractor sales in FY '23 as compared to 110337 units in the previous year. This depicts 38.44% dip in the other tractor retail sales.
