Domestic Tractor Sales Report-Recorded 2% Drop in August 2022

According to the Domestic Sales data August 2022, the total tractor domestic sales were 52,731 units, and in August 2021, the sales were 53,721 units. This data shows that tractor manufacturers faced a loss this month. Brand Wise Domestic Sales data August 2022

Mahindra Tractors domestic tractor sales registered 20,138 units in August 2022 and in August 2021 the sales were 19,997. The figures show a 0.71% growth in the Mahindra Tractor Domestic Sales data.  The company also registered a gain of 0.97% of market share this month. 

Hemant Sikka, President - Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.,  commenting on the performance, “We have sold 20,138 tractors in the domestic market during August 2022, with a growth of 1% over last year. Monsoon has been overall positive with 8% higher than LPA, however the spatial distribution has been deficient in key paddy states of eastern India, thus impacting paddy sowing. We are optimistic that tractor purchases on auspicious days in the festive season will lead to revival in demand, as farmers start preparation for harvesting operations. We are preparing for strong tractor demand in the festive season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,382 tractors, a growth of 1% over last year.” 

TAFE Group registered a 1.49% decrease in their domestic tractor sales, reporting 9,601 units domestic tractor sales in August 2022 against 9,746 units sold during August 2021. TAFE group also maintained its market share by 0.07% in this month .

Sonalika Tractors hit a double digit growth in this month. In August 2022, sales were 7,014 units and in August 2021 Sonalika tractor sales registered 5,814 units. In August 2022 Sonalika market share increased by 2.48%

Escorts Group registered a 7.89% gain in domestic tractor sales in August 2022. The company sold 5,308 units in August 2022 and 4,920 units in August 2021. Along with this, the Escorts Group added 0.91% of market share. 

John Deere Tractor sales dropped by 36.31% in August 2022. The company recorded 4,559 units in August 2022, and tractor sales recorded 7,158 units in August 2021. Along with this, the John Deere tractor lost 4.68% of its market share this month.

New Holland Tractor company registered a slight gain of 0.93% in domestic sales in August 2022. They sold 2,063 units in August 2022, and in August 2021, their domestic tractor sales were 2,044 units. They also registered a 0.11% gain in market share this month.

Kubota domestic sales data noted 1,802 units in August 2022, and it registered 1,150 units in August 2021. They reported a fantastic hike by 56.70% in tractor sales. The Kubota Tractors market share also increased by 1.28%.

Preet tractor sales declined in the domestic market by 17.90%. The company sold 500 units of tractors in August 2022 against 609 units in August 2021. Additionally, Preet Tractor also lost 0.19% of its market share in August 2022. 

Indo Farm Tractor reported a loss of 9.92% in domestic tractor sales, by selling 454 units in August 2022 against 504 units in August 2021. And the company's market share decreased by 0.08%.

VST domestic tractor sales decreased by 30.02% in August 2022. The VST Shakti sold 450 units in August 2022, which is 193 units less as compared to the last August 2021. The total market share of the company decreased by 0.34%. 

Force Tractor recorded a 31.78% drop in domestic sales. The company sold 292 units in August 2022, and the same month last year, the company sold 428 units. As a result, Force tractors also lost a 0.24% market share in August 2022. 

Captain Tractors domestic tractor sales registered a decline of 10.89%. The company sold 270 units in August 2022 against 303 units in August 2021. But, the Captain Tractors market share declined by 0.05%.
  
ACE Tractor sales gained by approximately 3.90% in August 2022, with sales of 213 units against 205 units in August 2021. Along with this, the company's domestic market share increased by 0.02%.

SDF Tractor sold 67 units in the month of August 2022, and in August 2021, SDF Tractor sales were 200 units, which shows a 66.50% decrease in SDF domestic tractor sales. This time the company lost 0.25% of its market share.
