Domestic Tractor Sales Report January 2024: Sales Drop By 14.94%, 55589 Units Sold

In January 2024, domestic tractor sales in India saw a decline, with a 14.94%. The brands sold 55589 tractors in January 2024, in comparison to the 65353 tractors sold during January 2023. Nonetheless, industry experts eagerly anticipate a substantial surge in the upcoming season.

Domestic Tractor Sales Report January 2024 - Brand Wise

India's top tractor manufacturer, Mahindra Tractor, achieved a sales figure in January 2024 by selling 22972 tractors. This reflected a drop of 16.85% when compared to January 2023, sold 27626 tractors. Additionally, Mahindra experienced a 0.95% loss in its market share during this period. 

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – “We have sold 22972 tractors in the domestic market during January 2024. Retail momentum slowed down on account of tapering of agricultural activities. Rabi crop output is expected to be good with prevailing cold conditions helping the key crop of wheat. Government announcement of a good estimate of Horticulture production, and continued government support to boost rural economy will aid positive sentiments and support tractor demand in the coming months. In the export market, we have sold 976 tractors.”

TAFE domestic tractor sales in January 2024 reached 9453 units, reflecting a 16.90% decrease from the previous year when they sold 11375 tractors in January 2023. Additionally, TAFE's market share saw a slight drop of 0.40%.

Sonalika International sold 7158 tractors in January 2024, a slight drop from the 7581 tractors sold in January 2023, translating to a 5.58% decrease in sales. Besides this, the data highlights a 1.28% increase in the brand's market share.

In January 2024, Escorts sold 5817 tractors in January 2024, a 6.70% decrease compared to the tractor sales in January 2023, i.e. 6235 tractors. Additionally, the company's market share increased by 0.92%.

In January 2024, John Deere sold 5454 tractors in January 2024, marking a 18.84% decline compared to the previous year i.e. 6720 units of tractors. Furthermore, the brand's market share saw a downward trend by 0.47%.

In January 2024, New Holland sold 2105 tractors, a 7.55% decline compared to the previous year i.e. 2277 units of tractors. On the other hand, the brand's market share saw a positive growth of 0.30%. 

January 2024 saw Kubota tractor sales at 965 units, showing a substantial decline of 40.14% compared to January 2023 i.e. 1612 units of tractors. Concurrently, the company's market share also declined by 0.73%.

Preet domestic tractor sales saw a significant decrease of 5.85%, with 402 tractors sold in January 2024. The Preet domestic tractor sales were 427 units in January 2023. The report also highlights a minor upward trend by 0.07% in market share.

In January 2024, Indo Farm tractors experienced a 14.78% decrease in domestic tractor sales, with 392 tractors sold as against 460 units of tractors sold in January 2023. The company maintained its market share by no profit and no loss in this month. 

Captain Tractor sold 359 tractors in January 2024, marking a significant 38.08% increase in sales compared to January 2023 i.e. 260 tractors. Additionally, the brand experienced a modest 0.25% rise in market share.

VST domestic sales report for January 2024 presents 248 tractors sold, resulting in a 43.12% decrease in sales as against 436 tractors sold in January 2023. The brand’s market share also fell by 0.22%. 

ACE tractor domestic sales reported a 18.95% decline as this brand sold only 231 tractors in January 2024 compared to January 2023 i.e. 285 tractors. Moreover, the market share of ACE tractors was lost by 0.02%. 

SDF tractor domestic sales in January 2024 observed a 44.07% decline as it sold 33 units in January 2024 against January 2023 i.e. 59 tractors. As a result, the market share decreased by 0.03%.
