Kubota to Invest ₹2,000 Cr in Haryana for Tractors & Farm Equipment

Kubota Corporation has announced an investment of ₹2,000 crore in Haryana in partnership with Escorts, focusing on tractors and agricultural equipment manufacturing. The announcement came after Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held detailed discussions with senior officials of Kubota at their tractor plant in Osaka, Japan.

Haryana’s Growing Industrial and Agricultural Profile

During his visit to Japan, Saini highlighted Haryana’s contribution to India’s economy. Despite covering only 1.34% of India’s area and housing 2.09% of the population, the state produces 52% of India’s tractors and ranks second in contributing to the Central Foodgrain Pool. Haryana also ranks second in the country for industrial logistics and houses offices of 400 Fortune 500 companies in Gurugram.

Saini shared on X, “Held detailed discussions with Kubota officials at their Osaka plant on potential investments and technical collaboration opportunities in Haryana's agricultural equipment sector.” He added that the investment would bring advanced farming technologies to Haryana and create significant employment opportunities for the youth.

Saini also emphasized that Haryana is a hub for automobiles, IT, and other industries, with excellent infrastructure including highways, expressways, rail networks, metro systems, electrified villages, and reliable irrigation and drinking water facilities.

Boosting Investment and Global Partnerships

Saini noted that the Haryana Government has created a business-friendly ecosystem with incentive schemes that make the state attractive for both domestic and international investors. The Chief Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Minister of Industries and Commerce Rao Narbir Singh, on his visit to Japan.

Saini also shared his experience traveling on the Shinkansen Bullet Train from Tokyo to Osaka, describing it as inspiring and highlighting India’s upcoming high-speed train projects, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor under the “Viksit Bharat” initiative. He said Haryana aims to draw inspiration from Japan’s technical expertise to improve transportation systems in the state.
