Domestic Tractor Sales Report December 2023 - Sales Declined by 19.24%, Tractor Sold 44735

The total domestic tractor sales decreased by 19.24% in December 2023. The sales were 44735 units in December 2023 against 55390 units in December 2022. Following, we will show a complete brand wise domestic tractor sales report for December 2023. Have a look. 

Domestic Tractor Sales Report December 2023

Mahindra tractor, a world class tractor brand, recorded a loss of 16.69% this month. The tractor sales data released by the company show 18028 units in December 2023, whereas tractor sales were 21640 units in December 2022. The company also maintained its market share by 1.23%.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, M&M Ltd. said, “We have sold 18,028 tractors in the domestic market during December 2023. Retail momentum slowed down on account of tapering of agricultural activities, which is the norm in the month of December. Announcement of higher horticulture production and continued Government support to the agri sector are expected to support tractor demand. In the exports market, we have sold 1,110 tractors.”

TAFE Group also registered a loss this year by 28.71% in their domestic tractor sales. The company sold 7345 units in December 2023 against 10303 units in December 2022. As a result, the TAFE group also recorded a drop of 2.18% market share in December 2023. 

Sonalika Tractor sold 5825 units during December 2023, the sales were 6862 units in December 2022, which shows a clear drop of 15.10% in its domestic tractor sales. Nevertheless, the company maintained its market share by 0.63% this year.  

John Deere Tractor lost its market share by 0.39%. Also, the company tractor sales were 4223 units in December 2023 compared to 5443 units in December 2022 which shows a drop in sales by 22.41%. 

Escorts Group also recorded a fall in domestic tractor sales by 17.03%. The company sold 4131 units in December 2023 and 4979 units in the same month the previous year. On the other hand, the company's market share maintained by 0.25% YOY. 

New Holland Tractor maintains a 1.05% market share in December 2023. The company sold 2064 units in December 2023 compared to 1972 units in December 2022. The New Holland domestic tractor sales increased by 4.67%. 

Kubota Tractor recorded a 29.23% drop in domestic sales. The company sold 1600 units in December 2023, and the same month last year, the company sold 2261 units. As a result, Kubota tractors also lost a 0.51% market share in December 2023. 

Preet Tractor domestic sales recorded 421 units in December 2023 against 435 units in December 2022, which shows a downfall of 3.22%. The company also gained market share by 0.16%. 

Indo Farm Tractor registered a fall of 20.62% in December 2023. The domestic tractor sales of the company were 412 units in December 2023, and in December 2022, the sales were 519 units. This time Indo farm tractors lost its market share by 0.02%. 

VST Tractor company recorded a massive loss of 35.99%. The company sold 265 units in December 2023 compared to 414 units in December 2022. 

ACE Tractor registered a 10.96% drop in domestic tractor sales, from 203 units in December 2023 to 228 units in December 2022. However, its market share marginally increased by 0.04%.

Captain Tractor reported a drop of 35.29% in domestic tractor sales, with 176 units sold against 272 units during the same period last year. But, the company lost its market share by 0.10.

SDF Tractor domestic sales decreased by 33.87%. As of December 2023, its sales were 41 units, and in December 2022, sales were 62 units. SDF Tractor also lost its market share in December 2023 by 0.02%.
