Domestic Tractor Sales increased by 13.7% in March 2023; 82864 Units Sold

Cumulative Domestic tractor sales report March 2023 recently released. The data shows 13.68% increase in tractor sales in March 2023. Total units sold were 82864 compared to 72891 units in last March 2022. The report shows that top tractor manufacturers saw a hike in their sales. 

Top Tractor Brands Domestic Sales Data for March 2023

Mahindra tractor sales recorded at 33622 units in March 2023 which represent a hike by 19.60%. The sales were 28112 units in March 2022. Mahindra also captured market share by 2.01%. 

According to Hemant Sikka, President - Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. - “We have sold 33,622 tractors in the domestic market during March 2023, a growth of 20% over last year. Increase in crop output, mandi prices staying firm, Government support for increase in MSP for major crops and increase in wages under MGNREGA scheme will help improve the financial security of rural households and boost tractor demand in the coming months. In the export market, we have sold 1,392 tractors.”

Tafe Group registered a domestic tractor sales volume of 13674 units in March 2023 compared to 11363 units in March 2022. The released data clearly shows a hike by 20%. Tafe also acquired 0.91% market share. 

Sonalika Tractors domestic tractor sales grew by 18.34% in March 2023. The company sold 10616 units in March 2023 and 8971 units in March 2022. Sonalika gained market share by 0.50% this month. 

Escorts Kubota tractor sold 9601 units in March 2023 against 9483 units in March 2022. The domestic sales of Escorts Group rose by 1.24% this month. Eventually, the company lost its market share by 1.42%. 

The domestic tractor sales of John Deere Tractors were 5931 units in March 2023 as compared to 6121 units. John Deere company recorded downward tractor sales in March 2023 by 3.10%. With this, the company also lost its market share by 1.24%. 

Next one is New Holland Tractor, which recorded 3707 units sold in March 2023 as against 3265 units in March 2022. The data interprets the 13.54% boost in March 2023. 

In March 2023, Kubota Tractors recorded a double digit domestic sales increase by 16.31%. The sales were 2546 units in March 2023 and in March 2022, the sales were 2189 units. 

Preet domestic tractor sale was compiled at 697 units in March 2023, compared to 775 units in March 2022. The pioneer tractor brand experienced decline by 10.06%.

Indo Farm made a sale of 621 tractor units in March 2023, compared to 752 units in March 2022. The brand saw a drop of 17.42% since last year.

VST also recorded a boost in domestic tractor sales by 13.44%. The company sold 574 units in March 2023 and 506 units in the same month the previous year. On the other hand, the company maintained its market share in March 2023. 

Captain Tractor sold 501 units during March 2023, the sales were 436 units in March 2022, which shows a hike of 14.91% in its domestic tractor sales. Nevertheless, the company maintained its market share by 0.1% this year.  

Force Tractor market share decreased by 0.23% in March 2023. The company sold 414 units in March 2023, which is 119 units less than the previous year.

ACE Tractors Brand faced a growth in domestic tractor sales by 9.60% in March 2023 by selling 274 units comparatively 250 units in March 2022. As a result, the company's market share decreased by 0.01%. 

SDF Tractor recorded a 36.30% drop in domestic sales. The company sold 86 units in March 2023, and the same month last year, the company sold 135 units. As a result, SDF tractors also lost a 0.08% market share in March 2023.
