Tractor Junction Acquires TractorGuru to strengthen the leadership position

FarmJunction Marketing Pvt Ltd, which runs India’s leading rural auto tech portal Tractor Junction & Truck Junction, has acquired tractor marketplace TractorGuru. 

Tractor Junction has been the leader in rural auto tech since its inception. To further its growth, Tractor Junction has now entered the Full Stack model. The flagship store is in Alwar, and they plan to open 12 stores across Rajasthan & UP in 2022. TractorJunction has also launched Truck Junction to cater to the truck, SCVs, and Pickup buyers in rural India. Truck Junction is operationally profitable within 6 months of launch. 

TractorGuru was founded in 2019 by Manik Mital and Rahul Gawade. Within a year of launch, it became the second largest tractor marketplace by traffic and revenue. With this acquisition, Tractor Junction will strengthen its leadership in this space. The two sites together will attract more than 4.5 Mn monthly visitors from rural India, has become 65% market shareholder in the digital space of Tractors.

TractorGuru founder Manik Mital said: “We are proud to have taken TractorGuru from an idea to a successful venture. But it is now the right time to integrate our capabilities with Tractor Junction to build an even larger and more trusted online farm equipment marketplace.” 

Tractor Junction founder Rajat Gupta said: “TractorGuru has grown 3x in the last 3 years and very quickly built a profitable business. With this acquisition, we can scale our leadership in New / Used tractors & Farm Equipment business even faster. Bringing TractorJunction & TractorGuru together will create strong market leadership in terms of users, dealers, and revenue.”

Both the companies will run independently and continue to seek growth opportunities. Mital will exit TractorGuru to pursue other opportunities. TractorGuru co-founder Rahul Gawade will join the Tractor Junction team. FarmJunction will manage both the leading portals and create synergies in technology, content, and target user segments.
