The 7th edition of the Indian Tractor of the Year (ITOTY) Awards, presented by CEAT Speciality. The event brought together 250+ industry leaders, 20+ OEMs, finance institutions, and agri experts, with awards presented in 16 categories.

Among all the categories, the Tractor Launch of the Year category attracted special attention as two tractor series shared the title: Powertrac Shaurya Series and the New Mahindra Range.

• Powertrac Shaurya Series: five budget-friendly models between 39 HP and 52 HP, built for small and mid-size farmers.
• New Mahindra Range: the next-generation Yuvo Tech+ platform, whose 585 DI also won the Indian Tractor of the Year 2026.

Powertrac Shaurya Series: 5 Models with New Technology

Powertrac Shaurya is designed for the farmer who wants power, precision and durability in every situation. The 2.34 – 2.93 litre engine series, best-in-class fuel efficiency and 3.1 metre shortest turning circle add more value to your farm. The main Powertrac Shaurya series’ features include, water ingress-free design with cassette seals, a strong rear axle & IPTO. The series has five models ranging from 39 HP to 52 HP with a weight lifting capacity of 1600 kg to 2000 kg. 

Powertrac Euro 439 Shaurya to Powertrac Euro 50 Shaurya 

39 HP to 42 HP: At the entry point, the Powertrac Euro 439 Shaurya delivers 39 HP, while the Euro 42 Shaurya brings a 3-cylinder engine and an 8 Forward + 2 Reverse gearbox. Both of the models have a weight lifting capacity of 1,600 and a 50-litre fuel tank that keeps them in the field longer between refills.

45 HP to 52 HP: Move up to the Euro 45 Shaurya and Euro 47 Shaurya, which fall into the mid-40s HP category. While the range-topping Euro 50 Shaurya is of 52 HP that produces206 Nm of torque, a 2.93-litre engine, a 60-litre tank, and a 2,000 kg lift capacity. All of these features of 50 Shaurya let it run heavier implements such as reversible MB ploughs, rotavators, and cultivators without strain.

All five models share some of the similar features that explain the series' popularity: oil-immersed brakes for safer stopping under load, power steering, and an 80 kg front bumper with an integrated tow hook for stability.

Powertrac Euro 42 Shaurya: This tractor is an all-rounder for the field, especially used for baling. Powered by a 2.49-litre engine that makes 42 HP, it provides strong and steady performance even in tough soil. Also, the 1600 kg Sensi-1 hydraulic lift offers accurate depth control to ensure even cultivation.

Powertrac Euro 47 Shaurya: This model is built for tough farming tasks. Driven by a 2.76 litre engine that generates 47 HP. It provides excellent pulling power and more torque, making it suitable for heavy-duty work. With a 2000 kg Sensi-1 hydraulic lift, it handles heavy tools smoothly and ensures even planting across the field. It has a differential lock that helps grip better in soft and wet soil, stopping the wheels from slippage. 

Powertrac Euro 50 Shaurya: This is the powerful tractor of the series, excelling in high-range power for commercial and agricultural use. It is available with 2.93 litre engine power output of (52 HP Cat.) and high torque. It can operate heavy implements with the 2000 kg Sensi-1 hydraulic lift. Thus, it results in a uniform and precise effect in the field. 

New Mahindra Range: Mahindra Yuvo Tech Range & OJA

The New Mahindra Range wins on the basis of technological advancement in their newly released models. This range is not about a single model or series but a collection of launches Mahindra has rolled out over the past year. The next-generation Yuvo Tech+ platform, alternate-fuel showcases, limited-edition variants, and international rollouts of the OJA series. 

This overall performance helped Mahindra share the ITOTY 2026 Tractor Launch of the Year award. Along with this, the company also won the Next-Generation Technology Award, while the Yuvo Tech+ 585 DI received the prestigious Indian Tractor of the Year 2026 title. These achievements highlight Mahindra's strong focus on innovation and technological advancement.

Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ 475 DI

One of the popular models of Mahindra tractors is Yuvo Tech+ 475 DI, a 42 HP tractor built around a 2,980 cc mBULL 3-cylinder engine. It produces 191 Nm of maximum torque and 28 per cent backup torque. It carries a Multi-Speed PTO that lets operators match PTO speed to the implement in use. A dual-clutch 12 F+ 3 R transmission designed to hold its speed in tough soil or under heavy loads. 

Key Insight: As per the recent press release of Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ 475 DI, the tractor is available at dealerships across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ 585 DI and the Republic Day Limited Edition

The Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ 585 DI is the model that actually claimed the Indian Tractor of the Year 2026 crown. This model runs on a four-cylinder engine and delivers 45.4 PTO HP and 215 Nm of peak torque with 18% backup torque. 

Also, the brand has kept the momentum going with a Tricolour-inspired limited edition launched this Republic Day, offered in Metallic Orange, Everest White, and Metallic Green finishes.

Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ 585 DI V1 4WD is a newly released model available in 2WD & 4WD variants. It has advanced high cubic capacity mBULL engine, engineered to provide strong pulling power along with 30% backup torque.

The New Mahindra Range also reflects the company's focus on global innovation. As part of this strategy, Mahindra expanded its next-generation OJA tractor range in international markets, introducing new tractors under the OJA 1100 and OJA 2100 Series. These tractors are specially designed for orchard, vineyard, and compact farming applications.
