Mumbai, April 01, 2025: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector (FES) has released its tractor sales data for March 2025. Domestic Tractor sales in India were 32,582 units, up from 24,276 units in March 2024. This indicates that domestic tractor sales have increased by 34%.
In March 2025, 34,934 tractors were sold overall, including exports. This shows a 34% increase compared to 26,024 units sold at the same time last year. Furthermore, exports for the month stood at 2352 units, compared to 1748 units sold in March 2024. This shows a 35% increase in exports.

In April 2025, Mahindra also published its Year-to-Date (YTD) tractor sales data. The company’s domestic sales saw a 12% increase in 2025, with an impressive 4,07,094 units sold, compared to 3,64,526 units in 2024. This is the highest yearly domestic sales ever for Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector in FY 2025.
On the other hand, Mahindra’s export market also showed remarkable growth, rising by 27%. In March 2025, the company's export sales reached 17,547 units, up from 13,860 units in March 2024.
Overall, in March 2025, Mahindra sold 4,24,641 units, reflecting a 12% rise from the 3,78,386 units sold in the same month of the previous year. This surge highlights the significant increase in Mahindra's export performance.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, ““We have sold 32582 tractors in the domestic market during March’ 25, a growth of 34% over last year. The tractor industry has been witnessing good momentum on account of favorable weather conditions, good reservoir levels, strong rabi outlook and positive terms of trade for farmers. Harvest season has commenced in the northern regions and is expected to progress smoothly across the country. Delivery momentum picked up in the last week of March on account of festivities and momentum is expected to continue in Q1 FY26 on expectation of very good Rabi crop harvest and improved cash flow in the hands of the farmers In the exports market, we have sold 2352 tractors, a growth of 35% over last year.”
Reflecting on M&M’s performance for F’25, Hemant further added, “We have achieved our highest ever tractor sales in F25 with a growth of 12%. This is driven by very strong retail sales across the country and lowest ever dealer channel inventory.”
