KisanKraft Launches Made-in-India Electric Farm Equipment
Published - 18 Jul 2026 by Sakshi Yadav
KisanKraft Limited has launched two new electric farm machines in India - the E-Inter-Cultivator and the E-Self-Propelled Reaper. The company said these battery-powered machines are made in India and are specially designed for small and medium farmers. The new equipment aims to reduce farming costs and make field work easier.
According to KisanKraft, the electric machines can reduce operating costs by more than 90%. The company said similar petrol-powered machines cost around ₹170 per hour to run, while the new electric machines cost only about ₹10 per hour.
New Electric Machines Help Lower Farming Costs
KisanKraft developed both machines on a dedicated electric platform instead of converting petrol models. The company said this was possible because of improvements in battery and motor technology. The machines were tested in different soil types and farming conditions across India for more than 100 hours. The E-Inter-Cultivator has also received approval from the Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (FMTTI).
Built for Weeding & Harvesting Operations
The E-Inter-Cultivator is designed for weeding and interculture work. It comes with 32 J-shaped blades, weighs around 150 kg, covers about one acre in an hour, and runs for up to 3.5 hours on a single charge. It also includes a reverse drive for easy movement in small fields.
The E-Self-Propelled Reaper is made for harvesting crops such as paddy, wheat, millets, and soybean. It can also work in moderately wet paddy fields. The machine covers about one acre per hour and provides up to 4 hours of operation on a full charge.
Available Through 5,000 Dealers Across India
Both machines use a removable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery that takes about 5.5 hours to charge. KisanKraft said the machines have an IP67-rated motor and controller for better protection against dust and water. They also require no fuel, engine oil, filters, carburettors, or spark plugs, helping reduce maintenance costs and noise.
The company plans to add IoT features in the future, including battery health monitoring through a mobile app and geofencing for rental businesses. The new electric farm machines are now available through KisanKraft's network of more than 5,000 dealers across India.
