Cultivation Of Mango

Its planting is generally done in the month of July-August in rainy areas and should be irrigated in February-march. 

Moreover, this farming needs a temperature between 22°C – 27°C for providing optimum results. And the 50-80 mm rainfall is perfect for mango cultivation. When you sow seeds, the temperature should lie between 20°C – 22°C. Apart from this, the mango harvesting should be done at a temperature between 28°C – 30°C. 

You should plough and cross plough the land and then level it. Also, keep the field in such a way so that water can not be stored. When you will complete levelling, apply one deeper ploughing and divide the field into blocks.

  •  How to plant?
  • Plant the sticks to join plants with other plants at the centre of the dig along with the soil.
  • The joining of plants should be made 15cm above ground level.
  • Then they must be irrigated instantly after planting.
  • They need support to make them grow straight.

For good growth, young mango plants require watering frequently. Irrigate plants at 10-15 days interval from fruit set to maturity as it helps to improve yield. 

Harvesting Of Mango 

Generally, mangoes are harvested at the physical ripe stage and ripened to optimum quality. Farmers can pick fruits by hand or pluck them with a harvesting machine. During harvesting, latex seeps down the surface of the fruit from the point of separation, giving it a shabby appearance during storage.
