Retail Tractors Sales Report May 2024 - Tractor Sales Fall By 1.06%, 70,065 Units Sold

FADA released Retail Tractor Sales Data on 10 June 2024. The data indicates that 70,065 tractor sales were made in May 2024, a decrease from the 70,813 units sold in May 2023. Consequently, tractor sales in India declined by 1.06% in May 2024.

Brand Wise FADA Tractor Sales Report 2024

In May 2024, Mahindra recorded sales of 15,926 tractors, surpassing the 15,836 tractors sold in May of the previous year. Sales increased by 0.57%. Nevertheless, even with the rise in sales, the company's market share decreased by 0.37% in May 2024.

In May 2024, there was a 2.48% growth in Swaraj Tractor, a sector of Mahindra & Mahindra, in tractor sales from May 2023. In the same year, they experienced an increase in sales, with 13,093 units sold compared to 12,776 units sold in May 2023. Furthermore, there was a 0.65% increase in Swaraj Tractor's market share.

Sonalika Tractors, also known as International Tractors Limited, also experienced a pleasing increase. The company sold 9,225 tractors in India, 4.30% more than the 8,845 units sold in May 2023. It also increased its market share by 0.68%.

TAFE Limited declined its market share by 0.46%. The company sold 4.67% fewer tractors at retail in May 2024, with 8,515 units sold compared to 8,932 units in May 2023.

In May 2024, Escorts Tractor sold 7,655 units, surpassing the 7,671 units sold in May 2023. This indicates a 0.21% decline in sales in May 2024, accompanied by a 0.10% increase in the company's market share.

John Deere Tractor company sold 5,149 units in May 2024, a small decrease from the 5,140 units sold in May 2023. This indicates that tractor sales saw a 0.18% growth from the previous year. Furthermore, the company experienced a 0.09% increase in market share in May 2024.

In May 2024, Eicher Tractors sold 4,461 units, more than the 4,507 units sold in May 2023. Eicher Tractors experienced a 1.02% drop in sales and an increase of 0.01% in market share. However, sales are expected to grow in the next few years.

CNH INDUSTRIAL (INDIA) PVT LTD noted 2,898 unit sales in May 2024 and 2,861 units in May 2023. This data shows a hike of 1.29% in May 2024. Additionally, the company also gained market share by 0.10% in the same month. 

Kubota Tractor sold fewer tractors in May 2024 than in May of the previous year. This May, 1,157 units were sold, a decrease from the 1,643 units sold in May of the prior year. Sales decreased by 29.58%, and their market share dropped by approximately 0.67% compared to last year.

In May 2024, besides these brands, other brands experienced a 23.67% decrease in sales. The number of tractor sales in May 2024 was 1,986 units, compared to 2,602 units in May 2023. Consequently, the market share also decreased by -0.84% in the same month.
