Mahindra Tractors Sold 29,763 units, Sales Drop Down by 6% in March 22

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the country's leading tractor manufacturers, has released tractor sales figures for March 2022. The sales report released by the company has shown a decline of 6 percent in the domestic market, while growth of 43 percent has been reported in the export market. As a result, Mahindra & Mahindra has registered a total sales of 29 thousand 763 units in the domestic and export market in March 2022. Whereas in the same period last year, they sold 30970 units. Thus, a decline of 4 percent has been registered in the company's total tractor sales.

Domestic Mahindra Tractor Sales and Export in March 2022

Mahindra & Mahindra sold 28 thousand 112 units in the domestic market compared to 29817 units in March 2021 last year. Thus the company has faced a decline of 6 per cent in the domestic market. At the same time, the company has registered a growth of 43 percent in the export market. As a result, the company exported 1651 tractors in March 2022 compared to 1153 tractors in the same period last year.

Despite the decrease in Mahindra tractor sales as of March 2022, the company expects better growth in future. Commenting on the company's performance, Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said that the company has sold 28112 tractors in the domestic market during March 2022. Record Kharif acreage substantial increase in exports of agricultural products like wheat, sugar, and cotton will improve the farmers' financial condition, leading to better cash flow in the rural market, which will help drive the demand for tractors. He said that the area under the Kharif crop has already crossed last year's level, which is a good sign for farm income. It will further boost with the early forecast of a normal monsoon. As a result, we have sold 1651 tractors in the export market, which is 43 per cent more than last year.
