Mahindra Tractor Sold 39405 units, Boost by 51% in April’22

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the country's leading and world's top three tractor manufacturers, has released tractor sales figures for April 2022. The company has shown 51% growth in the domestic market, while growth of 10% has been reported in the export market.

The Farm Equipment Sector (FES) of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., part of the Mahindra Group, has announced tractor sales figures for April 2022. In this, Mahindra & Mahindra's domestic sales in April 2022 were 39405 units, compared to 26130 units during April 2021. As per the data announced by the company, the total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during April 2022 stood at 40939 units compared to 27523 units in the same period last year. 

According to Hemant Sikka, President, Agricultural Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, we have sold 39405 tractors in the domestic market during April 2022, which is 51% more than last year. Our business has seen decent growth due to good market demand. There has been good progress in Rabi harvesting in all the markets. Amidst the prevailing global situation and high export of wheat from India, the need for Indian wheat crop has been very high, and this is getting the farmers higher prices than the MSP in the open market. Besides, oilseeds are fetching higher market value in the domestic market. Both IMD and Skymet have predicted a normal monsoon for this year, which is very good for the upcoming Kharif season. This is also expected to give good sales to the tractor industry.

Giving details of the tractors exported by the company, Sikka said that the company's export market has increased by 10% compared to the previous year. The company has exported 1534 tractors this year.
