Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, "In November 2024, we sold 31,746 tractors in the domestic market, achieving 2% growth compared to last year. With the Kharif harvest complete, farmers are moving ahead with Rabi sowing. The slight decline in the industry is due to the shift in festive seasons like Diwali and Dhanteras compared to last year. Positive farmer sentiments, healthy cash flows, good reservoir levels, and higher MSP for key Rabi crops are boosting confidence. We expect strong Rabi sowing and a good harvest to increase tractor demand further. In exports, we sold 1,632 tractors, marking a 62% growth over last year."
