TAFE bets big on Ferguson tractors for pan-India reach

Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd. (TAFE), a part of the Amalgamation group, is betting big on premium Massey Ferguson tractors to expand and strengthen its pan-India reach.

The premium and technologically advanced Massey Ferguson brand of tractors in TAFE portfolio are aimed at serving the assorted mechanisation needs of the farming community.

The flagship firm of the Amalgamation group has come out with a slew of products in the Massey Ferguson range.

“Crafted with the finesse of TAFE, the Massey Ferguson tractors are built to last,” the company said in a statement on its official website.

The MF 7250 DI tractors, introduced in the middle of January, sold 1,000 units in the first two weeks. The versatile MF 7250 PowerUP is intended to serve a variety of requirements of the farming community.

Product portfolio

“This tractor addresses the challenges of heavy haulage, rotary tiller, plough, dozer and loaders. The introduction of MF 7250 PowerUP has expanded the product portfolio of farmers and commercial users alike,” the company said.

The company has also rolled out MF 9500 4WD (four-wheel drive) tractors with its 58 HP engine. This also has a Planetary Plus gear reduction system.

“These combine to make it a perfect choice for heavy duty operations,’’ a release said.

The company has strengthened its portfolio of 4WD tractors with the launch of MF 241 PD 4WD. This is suitable for paddy farmers and deep puddling operations, especially in the delta regions. This is powered by a 42 HP Simpson engine, and has planetary reduction system and in-house TAFE G4.1 4WD axle.
