Mahindra Sold 21162 Tractors in January 2022 - Dropped by 35%

Mahindra Tractor announced their January 2022 sales, and they recorded a 35% decline against January 2021. 

Farm Equipment Sector released a sales report which shows the company sold 21162 units against 33562 units in January 2021 in the domestic market. Other than this, the Mahindra & Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector total sales (Export + Import) recorded 22682 units in January against 34778 units in January 2021.

The President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Hemant Sikka, said, "We have sold 21162 tractors in the domestic market in January 2022. Government focus is increasing on the agriculture sector, which leads to positive cash flows and rural infrastructure with rabi harvest, which raises demand for tractors. Besides this, good rainfall and high moisture in the soil create good conditions for Rabi sowing. The company sold 1520 tractors in the foreign market and recorded 25% growth against the same period last year.”
