Mahindra Tractors Hits Milestone with Sale of 40 Lakh Tractor Units

Mumbai, April 18, 2024: By volume, Mahindra Tractors is the largest tractor manufacturer in the world. In March 2024, the company sold its 40th lakh tractor, including exports. Mahindra Tractors is a part of the Mahindra Group. This milestone is marked by the launch of the Mahindra Yuvo Tech Plus, which is built on the company's next-generation Yuvo tractor platform. Mahindra's Zaheerabad facility, which is both its youngest tractor facility and a global hub for Mahindra Tractor production, is where the tractor is produced.

Through a collaboration with American company International Harvester Inc, Mahindra Tractors launched its first tractor in 1963 and achieved production of one million units in 2004. They then proceeded to declare themselves the manufacturer of farm tractors with the highest volume of sales worldwide in 2009. Mahindra achieved the 2-million-unit production milestone nine years later, in 2013, and then the 3-million mark in 2019. Mahindra Tractors proudly sold its 40th lakh tractor in FY'24, just five years later. The Mahindra Tractor brand also saw strong sales of more than two lakh units during the fiscal year.

Over six decades, Mahindra has expanded its product line to include over 390 tractor models. In addition, during this time, Mahindra Tractors has developed a strong network of more than 1200 dealer partners throughout India. By putting the needs of its customers first, this network has allowed the brand to offer unmatched levels of sales, service, and spare support to an ever-growing base of 40 lakh Mahindra Tractors customers.

In addition to releasing new deals on its goods and services nationwide, Mahindra Tractors celebrated its 40 lakh customers with the release of a new Digital Video Commercial (DVC) titled "40 lakh happy customers and 60 years of brand trust." The campaign is centred around the colour red, which is associated with Mahindra Tractors and represents prosperity.

Outside of India, the United States represents Mahindra Tractors' largest market, spanning over 50 countries on six continents. Mahindra recently started selling the OJA in the United States after introducing its Global Light Weight tractor platform, which was created in association with Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery, Japan. Mahindra Tractors will make its debut in ASEAN with the OJA, beginning in Thailand in 2024 and moving on to Europe in 2025. This will allow Mahindra Tractors to maintain its position as the top tractor brand in the world tractor market.
