It is the latest cultivation method in which crops are naturally developed without using substance composts. Basically, it is chemical-free cultivation, involving agroecology.
For supporting ZBNF, 4 pillars are available, named Jeevamrutha, Bijamrita, Acchadana (Mulching) and Whapasa.
It provides ecological benefits, avoids cases of farmer suicides, reduces the cost of cultivation etc.
To support this farming, the government launched several schemes like the National Agricultural Development Plan and 100% natural farming of Andhra Pradesh by 2024.
In ZBNF, 98% of crops are grown with the help of the supply of nutrients from the water, sunlight, and air. Rest 2% crops by good quality microorganisms.
It reduces initial cost, increases farmer’s income, improves soil ecosystem and improves production.
