6 Highest Tomato Producing States in India

Tomatoes from Andhra Pradesh are quite popular. Contributing a whopping 13.9% share in the National tomato production, Andhra has a production capacity of 27,44,320 tonnes.

Being a major tomato producer, 12.25% of India’s tomato production is attributed to Madhya Pradesh. It produces around 24,19,280 tonnes annually.

With a 10.54% share in National Tomato Production, Karnataka produces around 20,81,590 tonnes of tomatoes.

Lastly, let us look at the State of Gujarat. The state produces around 13,57,520 tonnes. The state contributes to about 6.88% of the national production.

With an annual production of around 13,12,070 tonnes produced, Odishacontributes to 6.64 percent of the national production.
