Uttarakhand is the topmost peach-producing Indian state with a record output of 0.579 lakh MT. All thanks to the climatic conditions that contribute to peach growth.
Jammu & Kashmir's fertile lands offer a favorable environment for the plentiful production of Prabhat. The maximum peach production is from Kulgam district of Kashmir.
3rd Indian hilly peach-producing state on the list — Himachal Pradesh offers a wide Peaches variety. Including Prabhat, Pratap, Red (Nectarine), Khurmani, Sharbati & Florida Prince.
Following Himachal Pradesh in peach production is India's World famous agricultural state Punjab. That adds 3 varieties to India's peach basket; Shan-i-Punjab, Partap and Flordasun.
Haryana is the nation's 5th largest peach producer, with an annual peach output of 5.87 MT. However, it is much behind in the race compared to Uttarakhand and J&K.
