Assam is the biggest producer of lychee, with a production area of 5.1 ha, followed by an average production of 39.2 MT.
Bihar is the second largest Lichi producer, with an average production area of 30.6 ha, followed by an average yield of 215.1 MT.
Orissa comes in third place for Lichi production. This state's average production is 17.1 MT and has a production area of 4.3 ha.
Punjab is the fourth largest producer, with an average production area of 1.6 ha. The state contributes to the country’s 22.4 MT production of litchi.
West Bengal is the fifth largest producer of Litchi production in India. The state has an average of 8.4 ha field area, followed by an average production of 82.4 MT.
Lichi is rich in copper, iron, manganese, and phosphorus, various antioxidants which help improve bone and heart health.
