Lemon trees are grown in medium black, loamy, and alluvial soil with perfect Drainage. During summer, the lemon plant needs to be watered every 7-10 days. Ph level should be between 5.5-6.5
The spacing between the lemon plants should be 4.5 x 4.5. The pit size for the plantation should be 60cm x 60 cm x 60 cm. The spacing should be good so that the root can be strong.
Lemon plantation should be done during the spring season, using the optimum site and soil conditions to reduce the chances of diseases and pests. The best month is July-August.
Fertilization in Organic lemon farming is primarily done with compost only. If needed, according to the plant soil analysis, one organic fertilizer is used. Animal waste is used as organic fertilizers.
In lemon harvesting, size matters more than colour. If you pluck a small, not fully grown lemon, it won't be juicy. When ready to use, lemons should be yellow-green in colour.
