Uttar Pradesh plays a significant role in India's masoor. It produces a substantial 4,52,810 tonnes of masoor (red lentils) annually, representing a 41.05% share of the country's total masoor output.

With an impressive annual production of 2,94,480 tonnes, Madhya Pradesh substantially contributes 26.7 per cent to the overall masoor (red lentil) output in India.

West Bengal plays a significant role in masoor (red lentils) production, contributing 90,120 tonnes annually, constituting 8.17% of India's total masoor output.

Bihar annually produces 90,120 tonnes of masoor (red lentils), contributing 8.17% to India's total masoor output, showcasing its significance in the country's legume production.

Jharkhand is the 5 th largest producer of Masoor Dal. Jharkhand contributes 52,910 tonnes of masoor (red lentils) annually, accounting for 4.8% of India's total masoor production.

Jharkhand is the 6th largest producer of Masoor DalRajasthan, contributing 23,400 tonnes of masoor (red lentils) annually, making up 2.12% of India's total masoor production.
