Tamil Nadu has an average production of 6.82 lakh tonnes of fish per year. The state is famous for Rohu, Snakehead, Catla, and Tilapia species.
Kerala has an average production of 6.85 lakh tonnes of fish annually. The state has over 905 fish species found in its inland & marine waters.
