How to Grow Cherry Fruits in Your Garden?

Cherries are known as “drupes” (Stone Fruit). Cultivated in Europe, USA, Turkey, Iran, and some Asian countries.

Cherries are rich in Vitamin C & fibre. Helps reduce inflammation, prevent muscle damage and improve brain function.

Grows in cold condition. Requires about 1200 to 1500 hours to chill during winters. Fruits grow best when they’re 2500 m above sea level.

6.0 to 7.5 pH level. Well drained soil with moisture holding capacity. Avoid heavy soil.

Usually, terrace system is practiced. Spacing should be 6x6 metre. Plough the soil to make it weed-free

Notice the colour and taste in order to pick the right time to harvest the cherries. Ideally, 20 kg per tree can be obtained.
