Gujarat is a close contender, emerging as the second-largest producer of Ajwain. The state's contribution is significant, accounting for approximately 33% of the national production (as of 2021-22).
Madhya Pradesh also helps produce Ajwain, adding 27% to India's supply. Its diverse farms provide good conditions for growing Ajwain, making it important for the country's production.
Andhra Pradesh adds its flavour to India's Ajwain production, contributing approximately 7.5% as of 2021-22. This amounts to 2.13 tonnes, showcasing its significance in the overall production landscape.
Telangana, a relatively new state, is a rising star in Ajwain production. It contributes around 3.4% to the national output (as of 2021-22) and has the potential for further growth.
