In the first 100 days, the Modi 3.0 government has focused on agriculture. Key achievements include apps and schemes to support farmers. The aim is to boost rural development and investment.
In Narendra Modi’s third term, he released the 17th PM-KISAN instalment. Rs 20,000 crore was given to 9.3 crore farmers. A total of Rs 3 lakh crore has been distributed to 12.33 crore farmers.
The government has launched the AgriSURE scheme. This fund supports startups and rural enterprises in agriculture. It aims to attract more investments in agri and rural sectors.
The MSP for Kharif crops has been raised, benefiting farmers by Rs 2 lakh crore. The Polavaram Irrigation Project in Andhra Pradesh got Rs 12,100 crore. Seven schemes worth Rs 14,200 crore were approved.
The Centre removed the Minimum Export Price on onions and basmati rice. Export duty on onions was reduced from 40% to 20%. These changes are expected to benefit farmers by improving their market access.
Duties on importing crude palm, soybean, and sunflower oils have been raised. This aims to protect local farmers and industries from cheaper imported oils.
