Domestic Tractor Sales Fall by 14.42% in June 2022

The total domestic tractor sales decreased by 14.42% in June 2022. The sales were 94477 units in June 2022 against 110395 units in June 2021. Following, we will show a complete brand wise domestic tractor sales report for June 2022. Have a look.

Mahindra tractor, a world class tractor brand, recorded a loss of 15% this month. The tractor sales data released by the company show 39825 units in June 2022, whereas tractor sales were 46875 units in June 2021. The company also lost its market share by 0.3%. 

Mahindra & Mahindra, President of Farm Equipment Sector, said, "We have sold 39825 tractors in the domestic market during June 2022. With good prices for Rabi output, cash flow with farmers is good. Government's approval of an increase in MSP for all Kharif crops and forecast of a normal monsoon is very positive for a bumper Kharif crop. Though Kharif sowing is lagging in the first fortnight of the season than last year due to deficient rainfall in key kharif states, further advancement of Southwest monsoons across the country brings in positive sentiments and is likely to boost the tractor demands in the coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 2023 tractors with a growth of 50% over last year". 

TAFE Group also registered a loss this year by 17.3% in their domestic tractor sales. The company sold 17808 units in June 2022 against 21540 units in June 2021. As a result, the TAFE group also recorded a drop of 0.7 market share in June 2022. 

Sonalika Tractor sold 11317 units during June 2022, the sales were 12881 units in June 2021, which shows a clear drop of 12.1% in its domestic tractor sales. Nevertheless, the company maintained its market share by 0.3% this year.  

Escorts Group, now commonly known as Escorts Kubota Tractor, also recorded a fall in domestic tractor sales by 22.5%. The company sold 9265 units in June 2022 and 11956 units in the same month the previous year. As a result, the company's market share decreased by 1% YOY. 

The Brand said, "The industry wholesalers were impacted during the month of June 2022 due to the high base of last year. With onset of monsoon, and likely record kharif crop production, rural liquidity and farmer sentiments are expected to gradually improve."

They added, "In June 2022, growth trend continued in the Construction Equipment industry due to the low base of last year. With Government thrust on infrastructure , we expect growth momentum to continue in the current fiscal year 2022-23."

John Deere Tractor increased its market share by 1%. But, the company tractor sales were 8036 units in June 2022 compared to 8287 units in June 2021. 

New Holland Tractor maintains a 0.3% market share in June 2022. The company sold 3075 units in June 2022 compared to 3315 units in June 2021. The New Holland tractor faced a 7.2% loss in domestic tractor sales. 

Kubota Tractor recorded a 4.6% hike in domestic sales. The company sold 2390 units in June 2022, and the same month last year, the company sold 2284 units. As a result, Kubota tractors also gained a 0.5% market share in June 2022. 

Preet Tractor domestic sales recorded 546 units in June 2022 against 710 units in June 2021, which shows a downfall of 23.1%. The company also lost market share by 0.1%. 

Indo Farm Tractor registered a fall of 8.8% in June 2022. The domestic tractor sales of the company were 515 units in June 2022, and in June 2021, the sales were 565 units. This time Indo farm tractors maintain market share by no profit, no loss. 

VST Tractor company recorded a massive loss of 43.8%. The company sold 458 units in June 2022 compared to 815 units in June 2021. 

Captain Tractor reported a drop of 19.6% in domestic tractor sales, with 422 units sold against 525 units during the same period last year. But, the company maintains its market share.

Force Tractor recorded a 22.2% increase in domestic tractor sales, from 413 units in June 2022 to 338 units in June 2021. As a result, its market share also increased by 0.1.

ACE Tractor registered a 76.3% hike in domestic tractor sales, from 190 units in June 2021 to 335 units in June 2022. However, its market share marginally increased from 0.2% to 0.4%.

SDF Tractor domestic sales decreased by 36.8%. As of June 2022, its sales were 72 units, and in June 2021, sales were 114 units. SDF Tractor also maintained its market share in June 2022.
