Domestic Tractor Sales Dropped by 15.3% in September 2021

The tractor industry is facing a decline in their domestic tractor sales consecutively for the second month. Total domestic tractor sales were 91937 units in Sep 2021 against 108585 units in Sep 2020. This clearly shows a decline of 15.3% in domestic sales.

Mahindra Tractor recorded 39053 units sales in September 2021 and, on the other hand 42361 units sold in September 2020. This shows a 7.81% decline in Mahindra Tractor domestic sales. But, Mahindra Tractor gained its market share by 3.45%.

Remarking on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President - "We have sold 39053 farm tractors in the domestic market in September 2021. Solid restoration in precipitation in September carried cheers to the cultivating local area, with the whole precipitation shortfall cleared off by the end of September and storms accomplishing ordinary levels." Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. said. 

"This is the third consecutive ordinary or above typical rainstorm for the third year. TAFE Group, registered a 14.6% decrease in domestic tractor sales in September 2021. The company sold 17059 units in September 2021 and 19972 units in September 2020. Along with this, the TAFE Group added a 0.16% of market share. 

Sonalika Tractor recorded domestic tractor sales of 11226 units in September 2021, against 16000 units sold during September 2020, registering a decline of 29.84%. Sonalika lost market share by 2.53% in Sep’21 yoy basis. 

John Deere Tractor recorded a downfall in its domestic tractor sales by 18.48%. With this, the company also lost 0.34% of the market share. As a result, they sold 7993 units in September 2021 against 9805 units in September 2020.

Escorts Tractor also registered a 30.37% loss in domestic tractor sales, from 11453 units in September 2020 to 7975 units in September 2021. Escorts market share also decreased by 1.87% in last month.

With record monsoon activity in September, this year's rainfall deficit has largely been recovered, which augurs well for industry in the upcoming months. However above normal rainfall in September has delayed harvesting in some parts of the country resulting in a two-to-four-week delay in the onset of the festive season demand. New Holland Tractor sales decreased September month. The brand recorded 3650 units in September 2021, and in September 2020, it was 4301 units which is an evident 15.14% decrease in Tractor sales. 

Kubota Tractor sales increased by 48.24% in September 2021. The company recorded 1890 units of sales in Sep 2021, and the domestic tractor sales were 1275 units in Sep 2020. Additionally, the Kubota Tractor company gained 0.88% of the market share in September 2021. 

Indo Farm Tractor gained 41.46% in domestic tractor sales in September 2021. Domestic Tractor sales recorded 679 units in September 2021, and 480 units of tractor sales were in September 2020. As a result, Indo Farm Tractor market share increased by 0.30%.

Preet Tractor increased market share by 0.13% in September 2021, and its domestic tractor sales hiked by 2.44 per cent in September 2021. Sales which had stood at 656 units in September 2020 increased to 675 units in September 2021.

Force Tractor domestic sales increased. They recorded 30.71% domestic tractor sales in September 2021. With this, Force Tractor gained a 0.18% market share. 

VST Tractor registered 663 units of tractor sales in September 2021 against 949 units which exhibit 30.14%. Along with this, the company lost a 0.15% market share. 

ACE Tractor reported a decrease of 20.57% in domestic tractor sales, with 224 units sold in September 2021 against 282 units in September 2021. The company's market share decreased from 0.26% to 0.24%.

Captain Tractor sales registered a 43.26% loss this month. However, it displayed 223 units of domestic tractor sales in September 2021, which is 170 units less than the September 2020 domestic tractor sales. Along with this, Captain Tractor lost 0.12% of the market share.

SDF Tractor Tractor sales declined by 48.6%. The company sales were 149 units in September 2021 and 290 units in September 2020. And, SDF Tractor also lost 0.10% market share.
